“Prostitution is the enemy of sexual liberation”

ekis-stuart5

Prostitution is, in reality, very simple. It is sex between two people—between one who wants it and one who doesn’t. Since desire is absent, payment takes its place. This inequality of lust is the basis of all prostitution, be it ‘VIP escort services’ or the modern slavery of trafficking. The same condition is always present: one person wants to have sex, one doesn’t. Money may get the buyer ‘consent’ and even fake appreciation during the act, but it only highlights the fact that the other party has sex even though s/he does not really want to. No matter how much is said or done to cover this up, if there were mutual desire, there wouldn’t be any payment—and we all know it. Prostitution is therefore an enemy of sexual liberation, of lust, and of free will. This, of course, is…

New support forum for parents of gender-dysphoric kids & young adults

4thWaveNow

A message from forum members Niniane, Kellogmom, Gender Critical Dad, Marge Bouvier Simpson, Mary, & Cat

There is a new forum for parents of gender dysphoric kids, teens, and young adults. We’re here to provide peer support for parents who would like a thoughtful and cautious approach to intervention for their gender-dysphoric daughter or son.

https://gendercriticalresources.com/Support/

Please note: Anyone may register for the forum, but you will be unable to contribute or see posts until approved by a moderator.

Most of the parents on the forum have teens or tweens who appear to be presenting with rapid-onset adolescent gender dysphoria, which some experts believe may be significantly influenced by such social factors as peer pressure, social media, and the Internet. Social contagion is a real thing for young people. Parents with rapid-onset teens desperately need support for a cautious approach, since the prevailing “affirmative” treatment model has been influenced…

Slap the Pimps on the Back: Prostituted women Don’t Matter in Australia

eachone

Sitting in front of the select committee in South Australian parliament to testify against the decriminalisation of sex-buyers, pimps and profiteers in 2016 I could have been forgiven for thinking the sex-trade was comprised of women with disabilities buying sex from men. My experience of being bought by men along with that of currently and formerly prostituted women seemed to disappear in a puff of smoke.

hamburg

Two women and a representative of a disability care organisation testified at the loneliness and lack of physical intimacy suffered by disabled women and their heart-wrenching stories moved the committee to exceptional patience and compassion as they stumbled through, with much courage, lengths of personal testimony on their suffering due to lack of access to sex. I was moved too- so much so that when it was my turn to testify,  I forgot that it wasn’t illegal for two parties to buy or…

There Is No Opt-In; You Cannot Opt-Out

You think I just don't understand, but I don't believe you.

Recently, a few real world interactions with women got me thinking about how oblivious we as Women can be to the reality that Patriarchy and Woman-Hating informs every move we make and every thought we have.

Hopefully, readers of this blog have already accepted that Patriarchy damages every last one of us, that this damage influences how we act and who we are, and that we should work to correct this damage, if only to live life as honestly as possible under Patriarchy.

Transwoman exposes male genitals: has his penis declared legally

allisonslaw.wordpress.com originally posted this.  The WordPress account no longer exists

“Two Washington State high-school Girls Swim Teams were stripped of their Federal Title IX rights by Olympia Washington School officials after the teens and their parents refused to allow the girls to shower with a middle-aged retired military man calling himself Colleen.

The man was discovered in the women’s sauna by a high-school teen girls swim team. Parents refused to let their minor girls undress in front of him.

As a result, local school officials have forced the girls into a small ancillary locker room space and given use of the women’s locker room to the male”

Why women hate ‘cis’

Why women hate “cis”
Gender was made by males to oppress females. Gender is a set of social norms and behaviors to keep men in power over women.
Telling women that they’re victims of violent misogyny because of their gender (as opposed to their sex), and then telling them that they identify with that gender (cis), is essentially telling women that they identify with being the victims of male violence.
Wait, gender is innate you say?
Please explain to me why transwomen must be biologically predisposed to being raped or killed by men.
How do transwomen just innately know that they’re predestined to be paid less because of their identity?
Do transwomen identify with being sexually harassed as they walk down the street?
When a transwoman realizes he’s trans, is there an overwhelming sense of relief as he knows he’s bound to be forever held back from his career because he might have kids some day or his husband might move away?
Do transwomen identify with being the default gender to clean up after men in the home?
Of course they don’t.

Gender in our dominant culture

Opinion: Why defining Dominant Culture’ made me a feminist ally

I hope I can explain what I think the ‘dominant culture’ actually is, where it came from and why it’s crucial to the feminist issue.

Here the place I’m coming from:

1. There was a fundamental change in how humans viewed the world (around 7-10k years ago-look up Gilgamesh the destroyer, his myth predates Homer). Until this split, ALL human culture was indigenous (some, were patriarchal yes, I’ll get to that in point 5)

2. Indigenous cultures (the non-patriarchal ones) that I’ve researched all have the same thing in common. They viewed the WHOLE natural world as a ‘being’ to enter into a relationship with. Everything. The earth, the water, the air, the animals, the space. Everything.

3. The ‘group’ of humans that ‘split’ from the indigenous, had a very different relationship with the world. EVERYTHING became something that ‘man’ had dominion over. It was ‘his’ for the taking. It’s at this period in time that the word ‘man’ appeared in the root languages of what would become the ‘dominant’ culture. This was the birth of the patriarchal violation imperative. This was the exact time period that ‘woman’ became subservient to man, their body and their reproductive systems were viewed as belonging to men

4. From that point 7-10k years ago, patriarchy has been growing stronger and stronger by using the exact same oppressive forces, they just change to suit the situation. Want something? Take it and by extreme force if required. And the extreme forces were always applied from the top by ‘men.’ What do these forces look like? Always the same: ecocide and genocide carried out by war, rape, religion, colonisation, empire and most recently capitalism

5. Patriarchy existed in some indigenous cultures both before and after the split, but they were not the DOMINANT culture. When patriarchal cultures collide, they war. Look at the every continents history and show me where I’m wrong in this assumption?

At present the 3 superpowers are US, Russia and China. India, Pakistan and North Korea all have nuclear capability and are patriarchal.  Every country in Europe is patriarchal.

Nothing has improved in the past 7000 years for the OPPRESSED classes.  But you know who things have gotten better for? Men. Yes, some women, some intersex, some black people, some dogs, some trees, some rivers have it better.  Those that follow suit and act like ‘men’ or do what ‘men’ say.   Tell me that you are not very concerned about that.

So why does the dominant culture matter? Because we have 7000 years that shows you can’t push back. Even if you did, there is still so much that would need to change culturally for everyone to be equal, and even if you managed to do that, you would still have to address how humans view their relationship with the world.

That’s why I now KNOW in my heart that most indigenous people across the planet had it right. Then our dominant culture came along and relieved us all from their ‘savagery.’

So if I was asked what destroying patriarchy looks like right now, I would say:

-every oppressed class needs to be able to name their attackers when attacked (patriarchy ie men).

-every oppressed class needs to be able to define what their oppression looks like and connect with those people

-every oppressed class needs to determine what defence and offence against that aggression looks like for them.

In other words each class needs to recognise each other’s right to be autonomous, assemble and associate.

Then the oppressed groups coalesce as needed with the common goal but with actions specific to each group. Defend and dismantle from the position of your class.

Defending our planet begins and ends with defending women.  It may not seem realistic, but it’s the only chance this planet has.

It always was until patriarchy.

Disclaimer:  I’m no academic, I’m just putting my thoughts out there.  I’ve been watching a lot of Gail Dines recently and Magdalen Berns. Full credit to these amazing women

You are not a Feminist! And other demands men make of women.

Dead Wild Roses

Yeppers, many radical feminists have been right here, right at this point.  Girlsmoonsandstarts and a rad-fem chorus goes above and beyond with their response, it is made of pure gold.
